COVID-19 Announcement:
Seeking the most important things
Thank you to everyone who has been so patient and supportive during our brief time underground. From conference calls, video conferences, on-line videos, and live streams, most of you have embraced the reality that the church is not the meeting place but rather the meeting of believers.
Emerging from the underground
Now, it is time to begin a careful return to corporate worship. The leaders of the church have worked hard to develop a plan that will gradually open our facility and services while offering necessary protection for our people. The objective of Phase 1 is a limited return to corporate worship beginning May 31.
Being wise and harmless
We are anxious for the time when we can all join together in public worship, praise, and fellowship. At the same time, we understand that many of our people face a wide range of risk factors and comfort levels. We know that no plan will please everybody, account for every variable, or guarantee safety. It is without a judgmental spirit that we ask every member and guest to carefully evaluate their own health, circumstances, and level of risk before choosing to attend public worship. If your personal safety measures have affected your physical delivery of food, we would encourage you to take similar precautions when it comes to the delivery of your Spiritual food.
Singing with grace in our hearts
Some studies have suggested public singing may significantly increase the spread of COVID-19 within a group. This issue has created a wide range of responses and governmental reactions. Berean Baptist Temple will take a balanced approach to corporate singing. As with our on-line services, we will have a time of singing at the end of the service. Prior to the closing prayer, we will announce that anyone uncomfortable with singing with us may exit.
Working together to restore normalcy
Each person must assess their own level of risk and comfort and then choose an appropriate level of participation. Christ has called His church to love one another with grace and unity. We pray that the members and friends of Berean Baptist Temple will display kindness, patience, and understanding as we carefully work to restore our full range of church ministry.
In attending our services you are acknowledging that you have read, understand, and agree to everything stated under both of the “General Precaution” headings.

- If you have not gone into a store to pick up your food and have had your food delivered by friends or through on-line delivery services, we would encourage you to consider the same thing for the delivery of your spiritual food. On-line services will be available Sunday afternoon and weekly care groups will continue.
- If you have cautiously gone into a store to pick up your food, we would encourage you to cautiously decide if you should attend our in-person meetings. Please understand that just as with the stores you have gone into, we cannot guarantee your safety or the levels of precautions that other individuals are taking.
- If you have exercised few precautions when it comes to the ways in which you have picked up your food, we would encourage you to put on grace and consider implementing some additional precautions out of love for the others in attendance to our services. In an effort to show respect for those in authority that God has placed over us, we ask you to follow every mandate that does not violate the practice of our faith.
