- Advanced Instructions
- The Guard
- When mowing the lower field, keep the guard up with the bungee cord.
- When mowing the upper area around the church, keep the guard down. This will keep the residue from flying high into the air and blowing into the mulch.
- Ear Protection
- It is strongly recommended that you wear the earmuffs to protect your hearing.
- The earmuffs are hanging on the right-side wall of the shed and can be placed over earbuds.
- The Route Principles
- KEY: always keep the guard on the opposite side of the mulch.
- Make 2-3 strips along the mulch line before striping the middle sections. The recommended option is to go around the building edging the mulch line 2-3 times before cutting the middle sections.
- Pay attention to the blower and where the grass residue is heading.
- Speed up the mower when cutting/lining the middle sections, but slow down when turning and cutting along the mulch line.
- All these principles are in place in order to prevent the grass residue from landing in the mulch and, consequently, creating weeds.
- The Sides & Hill
- Mow the side sections slowly. The black arch behind the seat may catch onto a branch and cause the mower to tip or fall.
- When descending the hill, mow slowly. It can be difficult to control the mower if you descend the hill at top speed, leading to crooked lines.
